Business Communications
 Course Description: This course is designed for professionals who are looking to develop their English language skills for the business environment. From working with clients to developing international relationships, Business Communications in English can sometimes make or break a company. Our Business Communications course teaches business professionals how to utilize conversation and presentation skills in the workplace.

Course Goals: By the end of this course students should be able to function better in English in the workplace. They should feel more comfortable giving a presentation and having a conversation with colleagues or clients, as well as have a better grasp of vocabulary and grammatical structures used in the workplace. Listening and Reading comprehension will also be improved.
Course Curriculum: Our class follows the SWIRL methodology (Speaking, Writing, Intonation, Listening, and Reading). Our curriculum contains a selection of quizzes, role playing, conversation practice, readings and comprehension tests. Students also get their opportunity to ask questions in regards to the workplace. Homework will also be given.
Cost: The cost for this 8 week course (12 credit hours) is $325 with no mandatory material or registration fees. Please note all course materials will be provided for you.
Maximum Attendance: We feel that having a smaller amount of students makes for a better language learning experience. Space is limited to 10 students.
Time and Location: Every Tuesday, 6:30 to 8:00pm, from January 31st to March 20th. The course will be held at 380 Lexington Avenue, 17th floor, cross streets 42nd and Lexington.
Prerequisite: It is assumed that students have a basic understanding of English conversation, vocabulary, and grammar. This class is designed to develop and apply acquired English knowledge.
