Course Curriculum: This class takes place both in and outside the classroom. When you sign up for this class, every week we’ll have a new cultural tour planned for you. Some sample weeks are:
Karaoke week – study English and American culture by learning songs and then going out to Karaoke!
Tourist week – learn about the Empire State Building, the UN, and other famous landmarks and then go for a tour to visit them!
Restaurant week – learn about how to order in English, from basic conversation to those daunting menus. Then go out to eat at a famous restaurant located next to Hills Learning.
Shopping week – want to go shopping and actually enjoy yourself? Sick of miscommunications? Take our Shopping week class!
Movie week – learn about the latest up and coming movies, go through the scripts and learn key words, and then go watch one!
Broadway week – this week is decided by vote. Learn about a famous broadway play and then go and see it.
Cost: The cost for this course is $198 175 4th of July Sale per week, and students must sign up to at least two weeks.
If 4 weeks are purchased, 50 dollars off.
If 8 weeks are purchased, 200 dollars off.
Maximum Attendance: We feel that having a smaller amount of students makes for a better language learning experience. Space is limited to 10 students.
Time and Location: Scheduled to start July 19th, at 380 Lexington Avenue, 17th Floor.
Prerequisite: It is assumed that students have basic knowledge of English. They might have taken years of English previously, but cannot remember most of it. Beginner conversational skills are okay.

Course Description: English is a necessary skill in today’s workplace. From working with clients to developing international relationships, English can sometimes make or break a company. Our English course focuses on everyday English in the workplace: how to write an email, talk to clients, speak with your manager, and answer the phone. In depth topics include meeting and business etiquette, writing proposals, industry lingo, economics and news comprehension.
Course Goals: By the end of this course students should be able to function in English in the workplace. They can write an email internally or externally, speak with a client, write a proposal, and understand commonly used vocabulary and grammatical structures. They should feel more comfortable speaking, and navigating difficult scenarios in English. Listening and Reading comprehension will also be improved.
