Japanese Highschool – Beginner Level

Course Description: Learn the basics of Japanese, from greetings and basic conversational skills to being able to order food and shop. Our course is designed for the beginner who’s eager to learn basic Japanese phrases and develop a strong familiarity with the Hiragana alphabet. Regular homework will also be given.

Course Goals: To be able to greet and introduce yourself, order at stores and restaurants.

Course Curriculum: Follows Genki, please note that handouts will be provided. Manga scripts are also a part of this class. It is not necessary to buy the Genki textbook, but it is recommended for reviewing purposes.  A total of 24 hours of class.

Maximum Attendance: 8 students.

Location: The course will be held 380 Lexington Avenue, at 42nd and Lexington, on the 17th floor.

Prerequisite: It is recommended, not required, that students become familiar with the Hiragana alphabet before starting this course.
